An indigenous woman with 8 kids overcomes alcohol and depression through roller derby. Sash “Bash-Full” Wesley broke through barriers to become a roller derby athlete, competing globally. Selected by Team Indigenous to play at the the Roller Derby World Cup in Manchester, England in February 2018, raised the bar and the pressure for Sash. But the journey to the world cup started with a very different woman. Like for many women, roller derby saved her soul, and Sash took flight.
